Turning Dreams into Clients Through Your Website

Posted On: Thursday, January 17, 2013

A dream can be something that comes to you in a certain moment when all of a sudden you just know exactly what it is. Other times, a dream develops over time as certain situations occur in your life to cause your dream to evolve and form slowly. And, then at some point, you realize you are living your dream.

Regardless of how your dreams come about, you eventually get to a point where you have a vision of what you want your future to look like. If you start a business, your vision will be related to how you are serving the target audience you have chosen.

In order to fulfill on that vision and become committed to your dream, you need to share it with the world. It’s not enough to keep it to yourself. Your whole community needs to hear about it. You need to mention it to everyone you meet.

Take Nancy Cantor as an example. She shares her vision of the Dream Factory Community every time she holds a luncheon. She shares her vision with everyone she meets. She isn’t doing this just to get exposure, although exposure is a big part of it; she’s also doing it because the more often you share your vision, the closer you will be to having your dream come true.

When you share your BIG vision with people, they have a desire to become a part of that with you. They want to help you bring that dream to life. They want to work with you, learn from you, wear or display your products. They want to be a part of that world you are creating. We are a social animal, and it’s all about community and wanting to be a part of that bigger-than-yourself vision.

One of the ways to share your dream is through your website where you will find worlds of people you didn’t even know existed. But, in order for people to understand your dream, you need to express it in ways that resonate with your target audience. You want your website to be an experience, not just another page of content.

People need to understand what your dream is, how it is going to help them, how it is going to help others around them, and what ACTIONS they need to take to help you bring that dream to fruition. In turn they will realize their own dreams by becoming a part of yours.

If you provide a service, what is the value that you provide to your clients? How are you changing the world by serving these people, even if it is just one person at a time?

What is the action you need people to take to start becoming a part of your vision? In other words, what action do people need to take to become a paying client?

These are questions you need to ask yourself when creating your website.

Every minute, there are over 400 new websites being created, and in the majority of those websites 97% of visitors, leave without taking any action. Why is that?

In most cases, the business owner behind that website has a big dream of how they are going to change people’s lives with their service or product. They see a need for what they offer and have a strong desire to help solve certain challenges in the world.

Yet, their website fails to fully express that deep desire. Your visitors need to experience how much you can help them. It’s all about sharing your dream of how you are changing the world, whether you are changing the world collectively or one person at a time.

Then once you share that dream, let everyone know what they need to do to become a part of that dream, to become a part of your experience, to become a client so they can have their own experience and fulfill their own dreams.

Come to an upcoming workshop held by Kim Reddington of Cereus Women, The 5 Essential Elements to Converting Website Visitors into Paying Clients to learn what you need to include on your website to share your vision and get your visitors to take action towards becoming a part of that vision and in turn, become a paying client.
