Dream Year 2016: Living my Dream Year

Posted On: Tuesday, January 26, 2016

I am taking on 2016 as my Dream Year.  I advocate for it every year, but this will be the first year I will actually document it for myself.  You are welcome to join me, please chime in on what you are creating in your Dream Year. Let’s live our dreams together.

My husband, Alan and I, started the year in Boston.  What a beautiful day.  We walked around Newbury St. and on a whim went into Banana Republic.  Great sales, beautiful sweaters, we left satisfied. Fun day.

Great to start the new year with a little retail therapy, but then it was on to having the Dream Factory Community New Year’s Dinner.

This is the annual event where we set the stage for creating the next Dream Year.

I use it as an opportunity to make commitments for the next year.  Not resolutions that disappear in 10 days, but intentions that will shape my actions.  One of our speakers, Dr. Rev. Stephanie May, encouraged us to let our values lead the way.  What do I value?  What do I want to focus on?

  • Connection, really connecting with family, friends, colleagues, clients, and community.
  • Partnership, a new level of co-creation.
  • Personal growth and business growth.
  • Fun and adventure.

So what is showing up inside those intentions?

  • A New Years Dinner, with great speakers, great team, including my son, Greg.
  • Business clients featured in a panel at the January Dream Factory Luncheon
  • Great vacation with my family, husband, Alan and son, Greg, with extended family in Florida.

  • A wonderful coach, Gail Harris, who is supporting me in living by my intuition.
  • Concord Dream Factory Community member, Robyn Vogel, sharing her wisdom at the
    Dream Factory Luncheon  in Wayland.

I am excited about what is to come–it seems very personal–not just professional.  I like the shift.

What is up for you this year?  What is shaping your experience?
