27 Years Riding the PMC (Pan Mass Challenge) A Bike-A-Thon

Posted On: Wednesday, August 28, 2024

The PMC has been a labor of love that has challenged me and shaped my life. It is working out 3x a week, fundraising, and managing a new team, that reminds me to keep my eye on the prize, which is the mission behind all this activity.  We are here to end cancer and have the most up-to-date treatments available when people get the news that they have cancer. We are committed to Dana Farber having the best answers to that horrible question, “What do I do now?”

Team Ovarian Cancer is focusing on a new protocol that has gone to trial in 2025. It treats the Natural Killer Cells of the women with ovarian cancer, so they can be returned to a specific location in their bodies to attack and kill ovarian cancer cells.  Link for more info.

Donations are designated to this project managed by Dr. Ursula Matulonis, Chief of the Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. Rizwan Romee, and Dr. Rebecca Porter, all at Dana Farber, and teachers at Harvard University.  Dr. Matulonis has just been named one of the Top Doctors in the Boston area in the Boston Magazine.  Link for more info.

By donating, you are part of a matrix, a community of purpose that believes that we are Unstoppable Together: Doctors, Riders, Patients and Donors. Thanks for playing your part—if you know someone else who would like to jump on as a rider or a donor, please share this information.  Links at the bottom.

Thanks for being part of Team Ovarian Cancer.

We are Unstoppable Together.

Best,

Nancy
