Navigating Change in Your Career

Change can be good as long as it is managed.

For 18 years I have used a proven curriculum, that I designed, that enables participants to manage lifestyle and work style changes.

When you are proactive, you can embrace change, and use it to create your next steps.

When delivered in a corporate setting:

  • new professional visions are discovered
  • plans are made
  • saboteurs are dealt with
  • a growth community is formed.

As a consultant, I worked with VPs and Directors in a QA division at Fidelity, because their manager wanted them to grow as leaders of their departments and operate more as team by supporting each other.

In a group workshop, we looked at their individual professional visions and how they mapped onto the vision of the company.

They were very candid, and got more connected to each other. Together they:

  • shared their visions
  • designed next steps
  • learned an anti-sabotage model
  • started having lunch together to share progress

The initial workshop turned into a 2-year group with me offering additional private coaching when needed.

They asked to have their direct reports to take the workshop which also happened.  When 2 members were downsized, the company invested in having me do private coaching which enabled both of them to find positions exactly where they wanted.

The coaching worked well because of the relationship that I had already built with the participants and their clarity around what they wanted.
